Global Tent for our Common Home: Religious Sisters Connecting Worldwide for the Pan-Amazon Synod (October 6-27)

UISG invites Congregations worldwide to build/make a symbolic tent/space in their community as a reminder to pray for the Synod and to create awareness.
The tent is “a space to meet, to listen and pray for those who want to know the reality and spirituality of the Amazon Region.”
In Rome, REPAM (The Network for the Pan-Amazon Region) will open the Tent for our Common Home in the Church of Traspontina (Via della Conciliazione, very close to St Peter’s Basilica) where the indigenous people and others attending the Synod, will meet to pray and to talk. Comentario después del Sínodo: Hna. Mary Agnes (Brasil)

Que bom, com gratidão  encerramos  com uma celebração  solene  o Sínodo  Panamazonica.  Duas  palavras ressoa forte :  a palavra  escutar e a conversão. O sinodo  me desafiou  a dar atenção  aquilo que escuto, como escuto e no fim  a valor da dolceza e respeito.  Me dei conta de forma especial  que a palavra, que expressa  o respiro de coração  só gera vida   quando  entro se entrar nos trilhos   de conversão  cotidiana  como edtilo de vida.  Conversão integral,pastoral, cultural.   As duas palavras  estiveram  presente, no desenvolvimento do Sinodo e se fazem presente no documento  final.   Acredito que  a escuta interior, do próximo, da realidade que nos rodeia  e ao Senhor  que nos chama   como  vida religiosa  consagrada fala brotar palavras  desde dentro de um coração  no processo  permanente  que constituirão   vida em abundância   através  de intercâmbio  de dons. Na troca de dons o Espírito  Santo  conduzirá   os novos caminhos da igreja na Amazônia  e por ecologia integral

Las religiosas sinodales en la UISG

Esta mañana en la UISG se realizó el primer encuentro con las 10 Religiosas que van a representar la UISG en el Sínodo Panamazónico: 6 de Brasil, 2 de Peru y 2 de Colombia. Invitamos también a otras Religiosas que van a participar. Ha sido un encuentro de sororidad y solidaridad global. Nos sentamos en círculo y con mucha naturaleza compartimos las esperanzas y los desafíos que las Hermanas van a compartir en el Sínodo. "Nosotras no queremos traicionar nuestros pueblos, estamos aquí por todas y todos que sufren y no tienen la posibilidad de contarlo. Vamos a estar al Sínodo como mujer consagradas amazónicas. Compartiremos todo lo que nos abita; esta conexión entre sociedad, cultura y naturaleza. Todo esta interligado y conectado."
